FAQ

Q: When is the best time to book a newborn session?

A: Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the first 1-4 weeks after birth, while babies are still very small and naturally sleepy. I recommend booking during pregnancy to ensure availability around your due date - the exact session date is always adjusted once your baby arrives.

Q: What if my baby is unsettled or needs feeding during the session?

A: That is completely expected - and always welcomed.
Sessions are entirely baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, cuddles, and pauses whenever needed. Nothing is rushed, and your baby’s comfort always comes first.

Q: Do I need to prepare my home for an in-home session?

A: No preparation is needed. I work with natural light and gently adapt to your space. There is no expectation for your home to look “perfect” - the focus is on connection, not perfection. The only thing I ask - to prepare plain neutral coloured linen (white usually works perfect) as I love to take some shots at master bedroom.

Q: What should we wear?

A: You’ll receive a simple preparation guide ahead of your session.  Keep it simple and cozy. I also provide access to a carefully curated wardrobe for mothers, along with all newborn outfits, wraps, and props. Neutral, soft tones always photograph beautifully, and I’ll guide you if you’re unsure.

FAQ

Q: Are partners and siblings included?

A: Yes, always.
Photographs with partners and siblings are welcomed and gently included as part of the session, allowing your family story to be captured naturally.

Q: Do you pose the baby? Is it safe?

A: Yes - gently and safely.
I am trained in newborn handling and posing, including wrapping techniques designed for comfort and support. All poses are baby-led, and I never force a position your baby isn’t comfortable with.

Q:How long does a session usually last?

A: Newborn sessions typically last 2–3 hours, allowing plenty of time for breaks and a relaxed pace. Maternity sessions are shorter, usually 1–2 hours, depending on the chosen experience.

Q: When will we receive our photos?

A: Your edited images are delivered via a private online gallery within the timeframe outlined in your chosen package. Premium packages include priority editing with a faster turnaround.

FAQ

Q: Can we purchase additional images or albums?

A: Yes. After viewing your gallery, you’ll have the option to purchase additional professionally retouched images, as well as fine-art albums or wall art. There is no obligation — simply the freedom to choose what feels right for you.

Q: How do we book a session?

A: Simply get in touch via the contact form, sharing your due date or baby’s age. I’ll guide you through availability, answer any questions, and help you choose the experience that suits you best.

Q: What if my baby arrives early or late?

A: That’s completely fine. I only schedule a limited number of newborn sessions each month to allow flexibility around due dates. Once your baby arrives, we finalise the session date together.

Q: Do I need professional makeup for my session?

A:  Professional makeup is entirely optional. Many mothers choose to do their own makeup or keep it very minimal, especially for in-home sessions where a natural look often feels most comfortable.

If you would like professional makeup, I can recommend trusted artists whose style complements the soft, natural aesthetic of my work. The most important thing is that you feel like yourself - relaxed, confident, and at ease.
